Growing up as kids, Hulk Hogan was everyone’s favorite wrestler. He was larger than life. It would be almost impossible not to like him, right? But as years passed, Hogan’s reputation suffered. Like many star kids, Brooke Hogan was exposed to the public eye from a young age. In WWE, she made an appearance during Hogan’s feud with Randy Orton in 2006. She was also a main character on the Hogan Knows Best reality show. Later, she would get her own reality show named Brooke Knows Best, following Hogan Knows Best’s cancelation. By that time, Hogan and Linda’s relationship had changed. They had separated, and it was because Hogan had cheated on her with Brooke’s friend, Christiane Plante. During an interview with Distractify, Brooke stated that the divorce between her parents “imploded” the family. It deteriorated her relationship with her mother completely. She said:
“Something that kind of stunk about my parents’ divorce is that it left my brother and I, just our whole family sprawled out and imploded. We just went in every direction. I think I moved like 16 times. The family dynamic, being completely genuine with you, it makes me sad. It really does. I mean my mom and I don’t talk, which is kind of like our third stint of going and doing that, and it is sad. We haven’t been able to have that breakthrough but I’m hopeful though for the future.”
She did say that the relationship with her brother and her dad was the most “consistent relationship” she had. Speaking about her former best friend, Brooke expressed her disappointment and hurt.

In a MySpace blog, she said that she was the one who tore her family apart. Brooke wrote:
“I think she shoulda thought about what kinda press she was gonna get when she slept with her best friend’s famous father . . . I think we’re all seeing just exactly how karma works Christiane. Nothing you say will ever put my family back together.” (H/T Fox News)
She eventually forgave her father, but not her mother. Even to this day, their relationship hasn’t been fixed. In an interview with E! News, Brooke said she feels “betrayed” by her mother and that she has “backstabbed” her many times. In another interview with Fox News in 2008, she said that while she was disappointed with her father initially, she respects him even more now for being honest with her.
“My dad and I had a little bit of a tiff earlier this year and that kind of stuff I really don’t want to talk about now, but I was disappointed for a minute. But what I respect about my dad is he comes forth and he tells the truth, and he’s a very honorable person, I respect him a lot. He, I know deep down, has a good heart. After WWE parted ways with Hogan due to his leaked transcript where he used the N-word about a guy Brooke was dating at that time, her daughter defended her father through a Facebook post. She wrote a poem in his defense, and said he is not a bad guy and asked fans to show him their understanding.
Linda has also talked about her relationship with Brooke, and she implied that there’s more to this story than just Brooke’s. Brooke had mentioned several times before the family’s changing dynamics and how it hurt their relationship, and this led to her cutting her mother off completely. Linda, however, in a social media post, said that this wasn’t the truth and that her side of the story was never considered by Brooke.

And while it may seem like her mother was the only person she had no contact with, it’s probably not the case anymore, considering Linda’s comments as well as the fact that Brooke missed her father’s third marriage, and later posted a statement as well regarding it. She said in a social media post:
“For my own journey to healing and happiness, I have chosen to create some distance between myself and my family, and am focusing on people and things that heal my heart and align with my own personal beliefs, goals, and values.”
Between all the family drama, and Hogan being overprotective of her, and trying to control her relationships and even causing a breakup with her former fiancée, it’s not hard to imagine why Brooke chose to cut ties with her family or at least maintain a great distance from them.

Brooke Hogan isn’t the only child of Hulk Hogan; she also has a brother named Nick Hogan. He’s 34 years old and was part of the same reality television show, Hogan Knows Best, that Brooke starred in.
Nick has had a history of legal troubles during his life. He never got into wrestling like his father, although Hulk said there were plans for Nick to face Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 39. It should be noted that Fightful denied his claim.
Nick recently married Tana Lea in January. Nick’s father, Hulk, and wrestlers like Rob Van Dam and Matt Riddle attended his wedding. There weren’t any pictures of Brooke Hogan with her family, so it’s very likely that she wasn’t part of the wedding ceremony. 2025 also brought a new chapter in Brooke’s life, as she gave birth to twins—Oliver Andrew Oleksy and Molly Gene Oleksy—on January 15, just weeks before her brother’s wedding.
