Jericho is an exceptional heel, and he could play as a babyface well, but more importantly, changing his character allowed him to remain relevant and be on top for years. It’s a testament to Stratus’ abilities that she not only thrived in her peak years as a wrestler from the early to mid-2000s but has also been able to return for one-off angles and matches without missing a step. Her SummerSlam match with Charlotte Flair, in particular, proved that Stratus could hang with the better-developed women’s division of the modern era.
Trish returned to in-ring competition in 2023 and hasn’t lost a step inside the ring. Her feud with Becky Lynch was remarkable, and the WWE Hall of Famer turned heel once again, proving that she can still hang with the very best in the business. Blayze was never as iconic as The Fabulous Moolah, Wendi Richter, or Sensational Sherri from an era before her. Nor did she arrive at the same popularity as Attitude Era favorites like Trish Stratus or Lita.
Just the same, Blayze was a serious athlete who more or less single-handedly carried the women’s division across a period of years, working opposite a rotating cast of heels. Her hard-hitting offense and ability to cut a pace in a ring largely left her without peer among American female wrestlers at the time.
