Demoliton were well known due to their hard-hitting style and their awesome facepaint and entrance attire. Debuting in 1987 for WWE, Ax and Smash paved their way to the top of the tag team division and defeating all that came their way.
The record for the longest tag team title reign in WWE history was held by Demolition for decades, with a staggering 478 days holding the prestigious titles. This record was then broken by The New Day in 2016, and then broken again by The Usos in 2022.

The Road Warriors, aka Legion of Doom, were one of the best tag teams of the 80’s and 90’s for NWA, WCW, and WWE. Hawk and Animal debuted in 1983, for Georgia Championship Wrestling, and would go on to travel all over the globe before landing in WWE in 1990.
LOD would stay in WWE before leaving for Japan and jumping to WCW for a brief time in 1996, and then returning to WWE in 1997 where they would stay until 1999. They had a long list of accomplishments, winning the WWE Tag Team Championship, NWA Tag Team Championship, and the
IWGP Tag Team Championship
. The Road Warriors were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.

The childhood best friends showed their chemistry when they burst onto the scene, joining a faction with Gangrel to form The Brood. are one of the most iconic tag teams of all time, and a legendary group of the modern era. The group was made up of Big E, Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods. Their debut in 2014 was not the most inspiring, coming out to little to no fan reaction and eventually getting booed as a lot of the babyfaces did. After turning heel, the fans naturally gravitated towards them, making them one of the most popular tag teams in WWE history.
The group went on to break Demolition’s record for the longest tag team title reign, and would hold it until it was broken by The Usos. New Day would win 11 WWE Tag Team Titles, and even win the NXT Tag Team Championship. Not only did they have tag team success, but all three members of the group would have singles success. Both Kofi Kingston and Big E won the WWE Championship, while Xavier Woods won the King of the Ring tournament. The New Day will go down as one of greatest tag teams of all time, if not the greatest.
