The original World Tag Team Championship from 1971-2010 saw some exceptionally tall wrestlers win tag team gold in WWE with some success. The current WWE Tag Team Championship and the World Tag Team Championship are currently the main men’s Tag Team Championships that are functioning on the main roster. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman Stands At 6’8″

“The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman is one of the tallest men on WWE’s current roster, and using his height has helped him win some championships. Strowman is a two-time Raw Tag Team Champion as his first reign was alongside 10-year-old Nicholas at WrestleMania 34.

Strowman’s first tag team championship reign didn’t last long as they vacated the titles a day later. However, Strowman clinched his second Raw Tag Team Championship a year later with Seth Rollins, who was the reigning Universal Champion. Their alliance was short-lived as they dropped the titles to Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler at Clash of Champions 2019, before their Universal Championship encounter at the same event.

Mabel Stands At 6’9″

Mabel was one-half of Men of a Mission alongside Mo, and their popularity went through the roof in the New Generation Era. Mabel wasn’t the finished article in 1994 as he was still young at just 23. However, Mabel won his first championship in his WWE career and that was the WWE Tag Team Championship with Mo. They saw off The Quebecers on a house show in London, England which was the first time that the Tag Team Championship changed hands in England’s capital city.

They were champions for a couple of days as they dropped the titles back to The Quebecers in Sheffield, England. Mabel stood at 6’9″ but he built up an unwanted reputation for being unsafe the work with in the ring.

Blackjack Mulligan

Blackjack Mulligan Stands At 6’9″

Blackjack Mulligan was the patriarch of the legendary Windham family as he is the grandfather of Bo Dallas and the late Bray Wyatt, the father of Barry Windham, and the father-in-law of IRS. The Windham family have a rich history of winning Tag Team Championship gold in WWE, and Mulligan got the ball rolling.

He won the WWE Tag Team Championship with Blackjack Lanza as The Blackjacks in August 1975. They were champions for three months as they dropped the titles to Louis Cerdan and Tony Parisi. Nevertheless, The Blackjacks etched their name in the history books as Tag Team Champions with Captain Lou Albano as their manager.

He’s also held the gold with Steve Austin, The Rock, and Big Show who he’s been rivals with in his career.

Diesel

Diesel Stands At 6’10”

Diesel had an excellent run in the New Generation Era, and he became a double champion a couple of times. He held the WWE Tag Team Championship with Shawn Michaels and Diesel was the reigning Intercontinental Champion at the time. Diesel’s 1994 was a solid year, and he ended it as the WWE Champion.

Big Daddy Cool and Michaels were double champions simultaneously as Nash held the WWE Championship and Michaels was the Intercontinental Champion when they became two-time WWE Tag Team Champions. Nash was a champion in a tough time for WWE, and his Tag Team Championship runs with Michaels lasted three months in total.

Big John Studd

Big John Studd Stands At 6’10”

Big John Studd is best known for winning the 1989 Royal Rumble match. However, Studd was a member of the Executioners alongside Killer Kowalski, who was the trainer of 14-time WWE World Champion Triple H. Studd was one of the tallest wrestlers in WWE history standing at 6’10”.

Studd and Kowalski were managed by Captain Lou Albano and won the WWE Tag Team Championship in May 1976. The pair were champions for 168 days until they were stripped of the gold because a third member of the Executioner, Nikolai Volkoff featured and they were not champions under the Freebird rule.

Kane is one of the most prolific tag team specialists in WWE history. The Big Red Machine is a Grand Slam Champion, and the majority of his championship reigns in his WWE Hall of Fame career was that Kane was a Tag Team Champion 12 times with seven different partners.

Show excelled in the tag team division especially when he was unveiled as Chris Jericho’s new tag team partner as the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions. Jeri-Show performed at a high level, and Show’s eight WWE Tag Team Championship reigns were with four different partners.

Omos Stands At 7’3″

Omos made his in-ring WWE debut alongside two-time WWE Champion AJ Styles at WrestleMania 37 when they challenged The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for the Raw Tag Team Championship. The Nigerian Giant is incredibly green but he has a big physical presence whenever he enters an arena.

Omos ensured that he’d have a WrestleMania moment as he and The Phenomenal One defeated The New Day for the Raw Tag Team Championship. Omos working alongside Styles was good for Omos as he got to pick up some valuable lessons from Styles, who often carried their Tag Team title defenses.

Andre The Giant

Andre The Giant Stands At 7’4″

Andre the Giant’s health was rapidly deteriorating but to remain featured on WWE programming he teamed up with fellow Heenan Family member Haku as the Colossal Connection. Haku is one of the toughest guys in WWE history, and he wrestled the majority of matches on his lonesome with Andre having minimal involvement. The Heenan Family members defeated Demolition for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Andre has the privilege of being the tallest Tag Team Champion in WWE history, and the former WWE Champion was a Tag Team Champion for four months with Haku. Their reign ended at WrestleMania 6 but Andre was on the cusp of turning face as Bobby “The Brain” Heenan berated him after the loss.
