Ever since Triple H took creative control in WWE back in the summer of 2022, he has brought several wrestlers back into the fold who had previously been in WWE, and he also signed those who had never stepped foot in the company before too. Notable signings have included CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Ethan Page, Braun Strowman, among many others.

10 Most Shocking Title Changes Under Triple H’s WWE Creative Vision
Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over WWE creative back in 2022. The following are the most shocking title changes of Triple H’s regime thus far.
However, when looking at the wider world of professional wrestling, both in terms of free agents and those in other promotions, there are certain names that Triple H should not bring into WWE, and this is for a variety of reasons.
UPDATE: 2025/03/13 17:30 EST BY ANDREW KELLY
The current free agent landscape in professional wrestling has plenty of talents names, both those who have yet to get a chance in WWE and those who were WWE superstars in the past. There are several names across wrestling right now who Triple H should not bring into the company, and this is for a variety of reasons. We will take a look at three more wrestlers who WWE’s Chief Content Officer should avoid, all of whom used to be former members of the WWE roster. This includes a comedy jobber, a member of a very popular tag team, and a former champion in NXT who had a controversial exit from the promotion.
Enzo Amore
His Time For A WWE Return Has Passed
- Amore is a former Cruiserweight Champion
- He is too controversial and outspoken
- He once tried to take over a WWE PPV from the crowd
Enzo Amore was magic on the mic in WWE, and the duo of he and Big Cass was great. However, things turned south with his unpopular run in the cruiserweight division, and his stock dropped even more due to controversies that arose away from the ring.
He has remained in the wrestling sphere in the years since, but has yet to land in a big promotion. If he is ever to sign for another big company, then Triple H should not open the doors. The time for Amore to be a star is in the past at this point.
James Ellsworth
There’s No Place For This Former Popular Jobber
- Ellsworth got over as a comedy jobber in WWE
- Eventually, the joke wasn’t funny anymore
- Ellsworth drummed up some controversy here and there
James Ellsworth was, for a time, on his way to becoming one of the more beloved jobber acts in professional wrestling. Fans rallied behind his feuds with AJ Styles and Braun Strowman, and his role as Carmella’s ally was pretty decent too.
However, an act like Ellsworth wouldn’t work in the modern day WWE, and given that his stock has dropped a whole lot ever since his WWE exit, it would be best for Triple H to avoid him, despite his previous success.
Mandy Rose
It Would Probably Be For The Best If WWE Avoided Rose
- Mandy Rose had a great reign in NXT
- She was fired due to her FanTime content
- With WWE’s younger fanbase, Triple H shouldn’t risk anything
Mandy Rose has made way more money away from WWE with her FanTime content, but it is true that fans miss her after a great run in NXT. Unfortunately, with WWE being a global entity, sponsors are important and appealing to families is necessary, so having Rose on the roster could impact both those areas.

These overused WWE storytelling tropes have fans rolling their eyes instead of cheering.
Even with her talent, Triple H would be better suited to avoid bringing Mandy Rose back, at least for the forseeable future.
Tessa Blanchard
She Is Too Controversial
- Tessa Blanchard is reportedly on WWE’s radar
- She made a controversial return to TNA
- This should not spark WWE bringing her in
Sometimes, wrestlers are simply too controversial and carry too much baggage to even risk them. Tessa Blanchard is one of those individuals. Her history has allegations of bullying, racism, and more, but TNA still brought her back in 2024. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE may potentially be interested in bringing her in.
WWE’s women’s division has a lot of quality, and Triple H should work on building up the current stars on the roster and those on the rise in NXT instead bringing someone who will only carry some unruly headlines and bad press.
Alberto Del Rio
Del Rio Has Been Vocal About Returning To WWE
- Del Rio has mentioned many times about coming back to WWE
- In the past, WWE have settled ties with many former stars
- Del Rio is a former world champion that Triple H should ignore
Even though WWE runs on the whole ‘never say never’ philosophy, it really should be ‘never’ for Alberto Del Rio, who is another name that carries way more baggage than he is worth. Backstage issues, allegations, and more have ruined his legacy, even though he still manages to win titles and get booked in the present day.
The former WWE Champion, World Heavyweight Champion and Royal Rumble winner should find his way back into WWE under Triple H’s ruling, especially since the roster really doesn’t need him at all.
Matt Riddle
Riddle Needs To Prove Himself Before Triple H Brings Him Back
- Riddle was let go from WWE
- He has proven to be a controversial figure
- Riddle has eyed a WWE comeback
Matt Riddle hasn’t been quiet about his desire to come back to WWE, but his release from the company wasn’t all too long ago amidst some controversy, and he needs to really prove himself a changed man before Triple H considers bringing him back.
For now, we do not want to see Riddle back in a WWE ring, and Triple H would be wise to avoid him, despite his talent and name value.
Miro
Miro’s Run With AEW Has Been Poor, But He Shouldn’t Come Back To WWE
- His run in AEW has been riddled with injuries and absence
- He would be booked similar to Andrade if he returned
- The WWE roster doesn’t necessarily need Miro
Despite a strong run as “The Redeemer” TNT Champion, Miro’s time in AEW has been a complete disaster. He has been in the promotion for years with little to offer, spending much of his time on the shelf, whether that be through injury or alleged creative disputes. Although he is talented, it feels as though he wouldn’t be needed in WWE.
There are presently younger “monster heels” on the roster such as Bronson Reed, Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker who are being pushed currently in that role, so Miro might not be able to find a place on the card anyway. He would likely fall into the same role of Andrade, going around in circles and not moving much up the card.
Ronda Rousey
WWE Should Not Bring Rousey Back Again
- Her first run in WWE was a success
- Her return did not impress
- Triple H did not know how to effectively book her
When Triple H took creative control, he found himself booking a Ronda Rousey who had very little momentum. In the months following, whether it be Rousey or her booking, her run became very poor and fans were tiring of her.
She eventually left WWE in 2023, which was for the best. She might have name value and her first run was strong, but Triple H should not bring her back again as there is no guarantee of a success this time around.
Danhausen
His Time In AEW Is Likely Coming To An End
- He is close friends with CM Punk
- His gimmick is very “indy”
- He hasn’t showed much quality between the ropes
It wouldn’t be a shock if CM Punk lobbied for his close friend Danhausen to sign with WWE once his AEW contract comes to an end, but Triple H shouldn’t give in to this. As funny as Danhausen is, his gimmick feels like one which is more suited to the independent scene and somewhere like AEW.
His promo work isn’t especially enthralling, and neither is his in-ring work, so he would not offer a whole to WWE in these aspects.
Jake Hager
Hager Is A Free Agent But Should Be On Triple H’s Wishlist
- Hager is a former world champion in WWE
- He is now in his 40s
- He was good in his role in AEW, but did not produce anything special
Jake Hager is a very experienced worker at this point and someone who does have some quality. However, we do not want to see Triple H bring him back into the fold in WWE.

10 WWE Failures Under Vince McMahon (That Could Have Thrived Under Triple H)
While these WWE wrestlers failed with Vince McMahon as the head of creative, Triple H would have made them stars.
Hager was never really at the world title quality that WWE felt he was at one point, and in 2024 he isn’t someone who will benefit or elevate WWE programming. It is a shame how his career in AEW ended up shaping out, but he was a much better fit there than he would be in WWE.
The Hardy Boyz
Cameos Are Fine, But A Full Time Is A No-Go
- The Hardy Boyz are clearly showing signs of slowing down
- Jeff Hardy has a problematic history
- WWE should focus on their newer and younger current stars
Matt & Jeff Hardy are undoubtedly two of the most iconic names in professional wrestling history, but at this point in time they will not offer a whole lot to WWE outside of a cheap pop.
With their rising age and depleting match quality, WWE’s renewed focus on building up new talent, and the list of issues concerning being on the road for Jeff Hardy, makes a return to WWE just not seem worth the risk and hassle for WWE. Their cameos from TNA have been nice, but this should not lead to a full time comeback.
The Lucha House Party
WWE Has Not Been Kind To Masked Wrestlers
- Dragon Lee’s signing has been underwhelming
- WWE are likely bringing in the Lucha Bros
- There is no room on the roster but any Lucha House Party member
The members of the Lucha House Party were booked awfully in WWE, being treated as jokes and not being allowed to shine in the ring. The new era of WWE is much better showcasing international stars and highlighting in-ring work, but even then, the trio of Kalisto, Gran Metalik, and Lince Dorado should not be brought back.
For all Triple H’s positives, his booking of masked wrestlers hasn’t been a proven success as of yet as Dragon Lee has fallen severely down the card. Additionally, the potential signing of the Lucha Bros means the “luchador” spots in WWE will be crowded and busy.
Brock Anderson
Triple H Shouldn’t Sign The Son Of Arn Anderson
- Brock Anderson used to be in AEW
- He failed to find any sort of momentum
- Arn Anderson’s return should not mean the signature of Brock
Arn Anderson recently came back into the fold in WWE alongside Cody Rhodes, which automatically increases the chance of Brock Anderson potentially signing with WWE. However, just because he looks like his father, doesn’t mean he shares all his talent.
He failed to ever really stand out in AEW, and hasn’t done so either on the independent scene. He doesn’t have main event potential, so it would be best if WWE steered clear of signing the son of the former Horseman.
Velveteen Dream
He Issued Out Apologies Earlier This Year
- Dream was once seen as a future WWE Champion
- He was involved in controversy and his image was ruined
- WWE should not re-sign him
Even though Velveteen Dream showed unreal amounts of potential, he proved to be too problematic and controversial to remain in WWE. Years later, he issued an apology, perhaps looking to build a bridge back to WWE, but Triple H should not cross it.
Dream’s name and image carries too much weight and holds too much controversy to even risk bringing him back, regardless of how much talent he may possess.
CJ Perry
CJ Perry’s Work In AEW Did Not Set The World Alight
- She was once a good manager in WWE
- Her run as a wrestler was very underwhelming
- She is a free agent once again
As the “Ravishing Russian” Lana, CJ Perry was a highlight of WWE programming next to Rusev. However, as she began to “lose” her accent in WWE, she became less of a presence and did not impress as much, especially when she stepped foot into the ring and became more of a wrestler.

10 Worst WWE PPV Endings Under Triple H That We Hated
Although Triple H mostly delivers the goods when it comes to PLEs, he’s still fumbled some endings of WWE’s big shows.
She recently had a short and uneventful spell in AEW which is now at an end. Despite WWE being a more manager and faction focused promotion nowadays, CJ Perry should not be brought back. Without being alongside Rusev in the role she was in previously, it would not serve much benefit for her to be back.
