Entering the WWE Hall of Fame is a proud honor for many wrestlers as they are recognized for their contributions to the professional wrestling business. Some Hall of Famers haven’t necessarily won many championships to get into the Hall of Fame but many entrants have. Rey Mysterio was the headline act of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2023, and he continues to wrestle at 50. Mysterio is a three-time WWE world champion, but the Ultimate Underdog became a tag team specialist as he won the WWE Tag Team Championship four times, and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship once.

Mysterio won the WWE Tag Team Championship with Edge, Rob Van Dam, Eddie Guerrero, and Batista who all tasted world championship gold in their WWE careers. The master of the 619 clinched the SmackDown Tag Team Championship alongside his son Dominik, and that was a history-making win as they became the first father-duo to win tag team gold in WWE.

Mr. Fuji is fondly remembered for being the manager of Demolition and Yokozuna but before then, Fuji was highly successful in the tag team division. Fuji and Professor Tanaka won the WWE Tag Team Championship three times. Fuji and Tanaka’s first reign lasted 337 days and that was the longest WWE Tag Team Championship reign reign for over 15 years with Demolition breaking their record.

Fuji continued his love affair with the WWE Tag Team Championship as he won the gold a couple more times with Mr. Saito. Fuji’s five reigns as Tag Team Champion collectively lasted 932 days which is the longest that someone held the original WWE Tag Team Championship in history.

Road Dogg found his niche when he joined The New Age Outlaws with Billy Gunn as his tag team partner in the fall of 1997. The Outlaws won the WWE World Tag Team Championship five times, and they defeated The Legion of Doom, Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie, Kane and Mankind, The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection, and Al Snow and Mankind for the titles.

Almost 14 years after last holding the WWE World Tag Team Championship, the Outlaws became six-time WWE Tag Team Champions as they defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust for the titles at the 2014 Royal Rumble kickoff show. Dogg was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019 as a member of D-Generation X and he works backstage in WWE as of 2025.

The Undertaker earned his rightful spot in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022, and the Deadman had an excellent speech. Undertaker’s WWE career was fantastic and it spanned three decades. During that time The Undertaker became a Tag Team Champion seven times with four different partners.

Undertaker and his rival Steve Austin won the WWE Tag Team Championship a month before their WWE Championship clash at SummerSlam 1998. Undertaker also had Tag Team Championship runs with Big Show and The Rock. However, Kane is unquestionably The Undertaker’s best tag team partner. The Brothers of Destruction held the WWE World Tag Team Championship twice and the WCW Tag Team Championship. They were the first tag team to hold the prestigious Tag Team Championships simultaneously in 2001 at SummerSlam when they defeated DDP and Chris Kanyon for the WWE World Tag Team Championship.

The Dudley Boyz are one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history as they are 10-time Tag Team Champions. They won the World Tag Team Championship eight times, and they were the final WCW Tag Team Champions before the titles unified with the WWE World Tag Team Championship at Survivor Series 2001. They pinched the WWE Tag Team Championship in 2004 by beating Charlie Haas and Rico but dropped the titles to Paul London and Billy Kidman a month later to become the first team to win 10 Tag Team Championships in WWE history.

Billy and Road Dogg had good chemistry and were a natural fit. They captured the WWE Tag Team Championship six times and officially joined DX on the Raw after WrestleMania 14. Tag team wrestling was Edge’s bread and butter as alongside his best friend Christian they captured the WWE World Tag Team Championship seven times. They won the titles at back-to-back WrestleManias in 2000 and 2001 by seeing off their biggest rivals The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz.

The 11-time WWE world champion won the WWE Tag Team Championship with Hulk Hogan in 2002 and with Rey Mysterio in the fall of the same year. Edge and Randy Orton as Rated-RKO allied in 2006, and got their hands on the World Tag Team Championship. Furthermore, 2009 was the final time that Edge was a Tag Team Champion in WWE as he won the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship with Chris Jericho at The Bash, but he tore his Achilles during the early stages of their title run.
