Much has been made of the current state of WWE’s entrance themes, but as of this writing, Def Rebel are still at the helm of WWE’s music making, and this has seen so many more wrestlers being handed unfashionable, indecipherable entrance themes that fans simply cannot get on board with.

The goal of a faction is to get several wrestlers over at the same time. These are the best faction theme songs in wrestling history.

Whether the following wrestlers have a Def Rebel theme song or a theme from someplace else, they desperately are in need of some new music this year. Having a striking, memorable theme song can sometimes be a difference maker in a wrestler becoming a star – see the likes of Jey Uso, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Sami Zayn whose theme songs allow for audience participation, making them feel like a bigger deal when they come out.

DIY have been handed bad theme after bad theme ever since their main roster call up and tag team reunion. Whether it be with the wailing “We Are DIY” at the start of their babyface song or the super generic new heel theme they’ve been given, the Def Rebel songs for DIY are dreadful.

The audience does not react to their music, and this can be very damaging to an act – even if they are heels.

Roxanne Perez had a star-making performance in the 2025 Royal Rumble match, and has proceeded to frequent the main roster a lot more. However, if she is to climb up the card, she really needs a new theme song.

Her current theme is an absolute mess of directionless noise. It has no substance, the beat changes every few seconds, and it doesn’t represent who she is as a character at all. She is in dire need of a new theme if she is to be called up full time to RAW and SmackDown.

Sheamus’ old theme song of “Written In My Face” is a very popular one, and when he returned in 2024 donning this music, fans were overjoyed. This made it even more disappointing when just a couple of weeks later he was handed another generic ‘Irish’-esque piece of music.

It was a downgrade on both his main previous WWE theme songs. Both Sheamus and fans have lobbied to bring back his old song, but these calls have fallen on deaf ears thus far.

Charlotte Flair’s old theme song wasn’t the best by any means, but it served its purpose and fans associated it with the multi-time world champion Flair. Her current Def Rebel theme song does not hit the right notes, sounding more generic and basic than something that a living legend should come out to.

Some WWE wrestlers singing their own theme song worked, but others simply couldn’t sing at all.

The song sounds like a cheap remake of her former song, so WWE should just return to that instead of proceeding with her current song that has a weird voice and uncomfortable sounds added in.

“Raise Your Fist” by def rebel

The Motor City Machine Guns haven’t yet firmly found their feet in WWE, but they are being given no favours by their terrible entrance theme. The whole “Raise Your Fists” chanting sounds cheesy, and it feels as though the song is trying to force the fans to chant rather than it having something naturally occurring.

This is an example of how powerful a theme song is, because if the pair had a memorable tune then perhaps they would be more over – instead they are met with silence, and this rang true during their tag team match at the 2025 Royal Rumble event.

Naomi’s current theme song is just noise. The music doesn’t sound good, the opening is way too long and drawn out, and the ‘singing’ is just wild shouting that doesn’t have the same sort of charm, impact, and beat to her former song.

When Naomi came out to any version of her “Amazing” theme, it felt like fans were about to have a party, but that same sort of atmosphere and vibe is not matched by “Glow”. WWE should cut their losses and go back to her old music.

August 2018 – June 2019

Ludwig Kaiser’s theme song isn’t bad by any means, but it is a remix of Gunther’s theme song. With Kaiser branching out on his own away from Gunther, it is making less and less sense for him to have a very similar, and worse, theme song than The Ring General.

Kaiser is in need of a song that captures his essence much more, and it isn’t just a parody piece to the main eventer.

Bayley used to have an infectious theme song as a babyface during her run in NXT and beyond, and it made sense for things to be changed up when she turned heel in 2019. However, her babyface turn needed something more upbeat, and instead she was handed just an updated version of her slow song that doesn’t fit her character whatsoever.

Her theme is beyond generic, and it should not be handed to someone who has such an important legacy in WWE. It might not be fitting to bring back the old “Turn It Up” theme song with her no longer a plucky rookie, but something needs to change this year.

Michin has struggled to get over with the WWE fans despite her strong work between the ropes, and she is another example of someone not being helped out by a pretty generic song. Her music isn’t necessarily awful, but for a wrestling entrance song it doesn’t have anything special to make it snap or stand out.

Finn Balor’s initial WWE theme song got over due to Balor’s strong work. Def Rebel made a decent heel take on his initial song, but the recent development of Balor using the new rap music handed to the Judgment Day faction is a complete slap in the face to everything Balor is about.

When he emerged during the 2025 Royal Rumble match to generic rap, you could hear a pin drop in the audience. The Judgment Day’s new ‘Street Trash’ presentation might fit the song a little, but Balor as a singles competitor certainly does not.
